We design and manufacture stylish fitness products for high-end gyms, fitness studios, home gyms & more.
Everything is designed and manufactured in the UK. We work with UK-based contractors on the production side and source almost all of our raw materials from UK suppliers. We are passionate about UK manufacturing and business.
Who are Mannix?
Mannix is a start-up fitness manufacturing company located in Brighton, UK. In 2020, co-founders Nick Mason and Lucy Skoulding were determined to bring style and design to the world of fitness, embarking on an 18-month journey of research, design, prototyping and production to offer a small initial range of products to the market.
We have an industrial unit in the Brighton & Hove area, where all our products are manufactured and assembled. We proudly make all our products right here in the UK and work with a number of local suppliers and contractors within our manufacturing processes. We feel very strongly about reigniting UK-based manufacturing and we will try to continue this as we grow and expand our range.
Why was Mannix founded?
Our mission is to get the nation working out in style, providing great looking equipment using materials like natural wood in the design.
When we started this journey in 2020, we thought there needed to be a wider variety of design and style in fitness products on the market.
Over the next 18 months, we invested heavily in researching, designing and prototyping a number of products, from dumbbells to weight benches. After experimenting with a number of design ideas, we connected with a variety of local specialists to help with all aspects of design and production.

Walnut Features
All our designs include walnut hardwood features finished with a medium gloss poly-x OSMO oil for a beautiful finish. Our plates and dumbbells also feature a lustrous bright nickel plating which provides an aesthetic look as well as a hard functional finish.

Mannix offers the fitness products that you are used to seeing, but with an alternative look and design. We use walnut hardwood and other alternative materials in our designs to improve the aesthetics and create equipment that is more pleasing to the eye.

We produce all our products at our manufacturing unit in Brighton.
